Business Plan: American University of Bahrain and the Center for Lifelong Learning and Applied Research (CLAR)
Objective
The capacity of the current AUBH campus facilities would not be fully utilized for the academic programs until AUBH reaches an enrollment level of 4,000. Currently, only 30% of the campus is optimally used.
Our Approach
The needs analysis done by Edu Alliance for 2023-2028 strategic plan development demonstrated a significant need and an important opportunity to develop a strong and vibrant Center for Lifelong-learning and Applied Research (CLAR) that would leverage the capacity and strength of AUBH infrastructure, faculty and staff, and reputation to offer services and programs that are complementary to its typical academic offerings. An analysis of the professional and continuing education situation in Bahrain revealed a lack of large, structured provisions for effective and timely response to industry needs for new programs, courses, and applied research.
Results and Benefits
AUBH Center for Lifelong Learning and Applied Research (CLAR) is now being planned to address this significant gap in the country while making optimal use of the existing infrastructure and resources. It will be led by proven educational entrepreneurs who will bring their expertise and experience to quickly, proactively, and effectively address the industry's needs.
